Love in the Word Church

2 Corinthians 7:8-16

So it is clear from 2 Corinthians 7 that Paul sent Titus to the Church there to oversee some widespread problem. Notice that even though the problem was sinful, Paul commended them to Titus for who Paul knew them to be! Paul was confident that Those in the Church in Corinth would do the right thing - that they had been taught. Paul is complimenting them on proving his instincts about them to be right. What I find noteworthy is that Paul had chastised them because of the Truth of their actions, but he hoped for the best because of their hearts . A Christian that is not optimistic is not living the faith! While there is practical anecdotal human experience, to the Christian there is ALWAYS hope. Why? This is because love Always hopes according to 1 Corinthians 13! We as Christians do not need to avoid the world. We merely need to understand the source of its forces on life , ground ourselves in the Word and speak life into darkness while expecting light to shine and fill the space with light! So yes things “look” pretty dim, hopeless, or dark! We do not deny the obvious but Light dispels the darkness since Jesus has already overcome! Speak to it and the darkness must flee. Amen
