For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love. Galatians 5:6 NIV. Christ and Christ crucified is the very heart of the Gospel. So no matter what our denomination, what unites us is our faith through love and not our apologetics. Faith defines our actions so if we love the Lord, this love will keep us from following doctrine that entice us away from the Truth. In a time such as today, holding onto this faith is essential. Satan is subtle and cunning and leads us away by small steps wrapped in confusion so that if we see the light of day, we are so far from our course that it will appear easier to continue the same path rather than fight to get "home" and to the path that God intended. We are headquartered here in the US and I see the divisive hand of Satan not only in our politics, but in the very fabric of our citizenry. I see those who claim to know Jesus, but fall to fear, confusion, and lies! Rather than talking about loving one another, they deny science, believe lies, and see others that do not agree with them as enemies, rather than neighbors which is the summary of the law or standard of God. They bend the truth, call a lie truth, and redefine hatred as patriotism or as the Galatians called it "the Law". My heart would be heavy were it not for the hope and promises that are exercised as faith in Jesus Christ. The Lost wear their ignorance as a badge of honor, pushing through the desert and eating the sand because they were TOLD that it is water. The mirage of honor, character, decency, and Truth in their eyes are really nothing more than the disceptive slight of hand of a master illusionist - Satan. Rather than test others words with the WORD, we MUST test ACTIONS with the WORD since actions reveals the heart ( not the words) of humanity! Are you lost, confused, disoriented? Your knees is a place to start your journey home. God heal our earth and our land. Remove the scales from the eyes of all being deceived. This is our prayer. Amen.
