Love in the Word Church

Focus: Traveling for the Ministry

God called Mary and I to start a new church that was digital 99.9%. We started officially April 1, 2019 and we had no idea that this was going to be the next season in our lives together. Love In The WORD Church was borne out of "mess" at our old church, where we served as Care Pastors. This was a nice peaceful position for which I was well prepared and trained. We said that we would never Senior Pastor again, but if you want to hear God laugh, just tell him what you do not want to do! Well 90 days later, we have seven churches in Kenya Africa and growing and about 50 domestic familyships. We are using every skill with which God has blessed us in helping our new churches in Africa get organized and prepared to be our home base as we focus on spreading the WORD to Africa, India, and to wherever God blesses us to go. You see, we are a global church and we have no clue where this is going. Mary at 70 years and me at 63 in 5 days seems absolutely crazy that we would take such a daunting step so late in our lives. The word "insane" comes to mind, but insanity to the world is just a heart beat for God!

Well, we are on our way home to Baltimore. This is the first time that I am going back since I left 8.5 years ago. We are stopping along the way in six places over three days to spread God's WORD and our mission as we travel to see family and help establish our church in Atlanta, Myrtle Beach, Elizabeth City and Charlotte NC, and Baltimore. Our church is particularly popular with those who are traveling, home-ridden, and tired of what many "churches" have become - endless building programs and pet hobby projects of pastors who are more enamored with themselves than with the plight of God's less fortunate. Over the next three days, we will reach out with whatever God places in our path to share. Until then, please pray for our safe passage and protection as we go. To God be the glory for the things He has done!
