Focus: Heb 10:18-39
If there was any doubt about the concept of once saved always saved, Heb 10 should put it to rest. Once saved always saved is only valid if by saved we mean glorified because once we are glorified, there is no further salvation. If salvation is justification, as is meant by most who preach this doctrine, this cannot be true due to Heb 10 and Matthew 12:30, just to cite a few verses. Blasphemy against the Holy Ghost is once more defined in Heb 10 and intentional sin is once more stated as not being covered not even by the blood of Christ. Our opinion changes but God's standard never changes. So our understanding must not only be shaped by Paul, but by Paul and James and ALL of the other writers of the Holy Graphe Word of God. So let us focus on doing what is right and not following doctrines that give us a false sense of security. We do not need to fear anything or anyone as long as our faith is in Jesus and we are following our faith diligently.
We follow diligently by doing the work of internalizing the WORD. No matter what evil each of us fights naturally because of our fleshly nature, the answer to our deliverance is the Holy Spirit under a solid faith of Jesus. So let us not worry about intentional sin, but use that energy to focus on our faith in Jesus. Let he/she who has ears, let him/her hear what Christ is revealing to His people! Amen.
