Focus: Eph 6:10-19
The Full armor of God passage found in Ephesians 6 is our battle plan. No respecting leader worth his pay would ever send his/her troops into battle with no plan. That would be suicide! We are truly in a battle with the Evil One and Jesus has given us a plan. The plan is no good though if we are not equipped with the appropriate gear. It is such a shame that the WORD of God reveals what we need but so many of us do not take the time to understand what God is telling us. The fact that God has a plan and tells us how to be ready is prima facie or primary hard cold evidence that God KNOWS that we need to fight in this world. The belt of Truth, the breastplate of righteousness, feet fitted with the readiness of the Gospel of Peace, the Shield of Faith, the helmet of Salvation, and the Sword of the Spirit which is the WORD of God are ALL required for success. Notice that none of this gear has anything to do with the enemy, only with US! We need only prepare ourselves and put on the articles that He specifies and we ARE ready for any battle. Unlike conventional war, we prepare ourselves and clothe ourselves based on the battlefield. In spiritual warfare we train one way and we put on the same articles EVERY time, In conventional warfare, the best equipped, the best trained, and the best plan usually wins, but in spiritual warfare, the battle is ALREADY won! We fight the battle to grow in faith and perseverance. Satan is already aware that he has lost but he knows that our flesh still seeks after him. So Satan continues to draw us to pull us away from our destiny so that we feel lost and alone! The biggest lie from the very pit of Hell! So rise up saints of God! Don't look down-trodden! We chose the winning side and now we just have to act like it and embrace our victory. So step out boldly! Believing that God has purposed your life for greatness. Read the Armor of God passage again and again until you understand its meaning. Check your gear DAILY and commune with Jesus DAILY to get His battle plan for THAT day! Praise Him AND REJOICE!
