Love in the Word Church

Focus: Ephesian 6 Full Armor of God

Put on the FULL armor of God! Paul was very clear in the need for us as God's people to prepare ourselves for battle in this world! He states that we do NOT fight against humanity, but against the rulers, authorities, and powers of THIS dark world! Paul alerts us that Satan also has spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realm. This means that Satan also has with him forces that followed him from heaven when he waged war against Micheal and against God. They too know how heaven works and what power they possess on the earth over humanity. This means that Satan and his demons are able to deceive by trying to appear as angels of Light! We would not go into a gun fight with a knife unless we wanted to be defeated. Satan, for humanity, is a worthy adversary and he should be fought with respect for who he was. We do not honor him and yes, greater is He that is in me (the Holy Spirit) than he that is in the world! But, it will be destruction to try to defeat Satan while being cavalier and unarmed! Satan has never suffered with a veil placed over his understanding and neither has his demons; so he knows how heaven works. His powers and authority are here on earth and since we are earthbound, he thinks that he has the advantage. While our bodies are earthbound, our power is not. The Holy Spirit resides in us as the Temple of God, so that we might draw on strength and sustenance from heaven. Prepare! Do not be deceived! Put on the FULL armor of God. Amen.
